INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis wife and mother of three was killed in a shooting in Georgia , in which her friends are calling a "senseless tragedy."

Erica Anderson's friends immediately jumped into action to pull together support and resources for her family after CNN affiliate WTVM reported she was tragically shot and killed Monday, Oct. 13 by her roommate.

Authorities said it's a tragic case of mistaken identity.

"She was accidentally shot by her roommate who had been receiving some terroristic threats of bodily harm and also to burn down her house from her son," Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said. "She walked into the hallway with her pistol, she fired one shot and fired another and hit her roommate."
