INDIANAPOLIS — A shooting in Georgia has claimed the life of a woman from Indianapolis and the circumstances are head-spinning.

Erica Anderson's friends called it is a senseless tragedy.

Anderson's friends immediately jumped into action to pull together support and resources for her family after our newsgathering partners at WTVM reported she was tragically shot and killed Monday by her roommate.

Authorities said it's a tragic case of mistaken identity.

"She was accidentally shot by her roommate who had been receiving some terroristic threats of bodily harm and also to burn down her house from her son," said Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. "She walked into the hallway with her pistol, she fired one shot and fired another and hit her roommate."
