LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested four men wanted on outstanding warrants for sex-related offenses involving children in 72 hours at Texas ports of entry.

The arrests took place between October 11 and October 13 at ports of entry in Laredo and Brownsville.

On Oct. 11, CBP officers at Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville arrested 65-year-old Gilberto Fernandez Vega, a Mexican citizen wanted on a felony warrant issued by the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Reports state that Vega was then taken to the Cameron County jail.
