DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler has been nominated for an American League Gold Glove Award.

It’s the second straight year that a Tiger has been among the final three. Jake Rogers was a finalist in 2024 .

Dingler, 27, debuted in 2024 and wrested the starting job from Rogers this year thanks to his strong offensive and defensive play.

He played in 126 games and posted a .752 OPS (108 OPS+) in 469 plate appearances.

Dingler is rated +6 in Defensive Runs Saved and +12 in Fielding Run Value, getting high marks for his framing, throwing and blocking.

The other AL finalists at catcher this year are Alejandro Kirk (Toronto Blue Jays) and Carlos Narvaez (Boston Red Sox).
