Game 1 of the 2016 NLCS between the Cubs and Dodgers took place at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs ran out to a quick 1-0 lead on a leadoff single by Dexter Fowler and double by Kris Bryant in the first inning, then added another on an RBI double by Javier Báez in the second.

Then Báez stole home:

Jon Lester served up a solo homer to Andre Ethier in the fifth but otherwise threw brilliantly, with that the only run he allowed in six innings.

The Dodgers tied the game in the top of the eighth. Mike Montgomery, who had struck out Joc Pederson to end the seventh, allowed a leadoff single to Andrew Toles. Pedro Strop relieved Montgomery, but this time, the longtime solid Cubs reliever didn’t help matters. He walked Chase Utley and gave up a single to Justin Turner and the bases were loaded with nob
