Leda Kathryn Pond Smith passed away October 9, 2025.

She was born November 16, 1952, to Ronald George Pond and LaPrele Smith in Idaho Falls, Idaho. There was hardly a dull moment around the Pond house. As the oldest daughter of 14 children, she learned how to take care of a family at a young age, and was a second mother to most of her siblings. Her parents taught her so many valuable skills in her life; gardening, sewing, and cooking for the masses.

She attended Ricks College after high school where she met her husband David Allen Smith. They were married in the Idaho Falls Idaho temple on August 2, 1972, and spent 53 wonderful years serving and loving each other. She is the mother of eight children. Ryan (Kim), Rachelle (Cory) Ballard, Melis
