Jim Carrey is looking to bring to life another animated character!

The 63-year-old actor was just revealed to reportedly be in talks to star in a live-action film adaptation of popular 1960s cartoon The Jetsons , according to The Wrap .

While no casting is official and the project is in the early stages, filmmaker and writer Colin Trevorrow is also in talks to join the adaptation as director and co-writer, along with Joe Epstein .

If you’re unfamiliar, The Jetsons first premiered in 1962 on ABC, and was a futuristic series set in the space-age optimism of the times. They were also the “first family to have a big-screen home entertainment system decades before it became a reality,” along with “flying cars, floating cities and androids.”
