ALBANY, N.Y. (WWTI) - The New York State Police have announced the appointment of Major Peter C. Arcadi as the 29th Troop Commander of Troop B, following his previous role as Captain of Zone 3 within the same Troop.

Major Arcadi began his career by entering the New York State Police Academy in February 2005. He was assigned to Troop B, in Massena. In 2012, he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the Ray Brook station, where he became Sergeant/Station Commander in 2014.

He later transferred back to Massena in 2016 at the same position.

Major Arcadi was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Zone 1 in Plattsburgh in April 2018. Two years later, in May 2020, he was appointed Acting Administrative Captain at the Troop B Headquarters in Ray Brook, officially assuming the role in May 2021
