The city of Fairhope is preparing to receive new water meters and systems to improve accuracy and start remotely tracking water usage across the city.

On Monday, the City Council voted to approve a $500,000 annual contract with Sensus iPERL for the installation of new water meters, as well as mobile meter reading devices and software.
