We’re in the thick of restaurant awards season , and the latest on the horizon is the Chinese Restaurant Awards , which has just revealed its top 50 honourees from across Canada.
The awards, which were founded in Vancouver in 2008, have shared their long list of honourees ahead of the inaugural Elite 30 Canada Awards, which are set to take place later this month. While the majority of restaurants are from B.C. and Ontario, one Calgary spot made the cut.
Master Beef Hot Pot is the only Alberta restaurant to make the list of honourees. Focusing on Chinese hot pot, the eatery uses local beef for its dishes, sourcing meat directly from Alberta farms.
