Birdy is one of the most personality-packed dogs I’ve ever had. She’s a rescue from Arkansas, she’s about five years old, and I swear she’s a reincarnated stand-up comedian — her comedic timing is something that should be studied by animal scientists.

Birdy is also a dog of mystery. She’s as funny-looking as she is funny to be around. She’s almost fully black, save for a white patch on her chest and a single white paw. And speaking of those paws, her front feet are constantly in a perfect turnout (my ballet teacher would be proud). Her legs are short, her body is long, and her tail looks like it didn’t quite finish growing.
