President Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel held a holding a joint news conference Wednesday from the Oval Office to tour their efforts to crackdown on violent crime.
Patel said more than 8,700 people accused of violent crimes had been arrested and more than 2,200 guns were seized.
This happened during "Operation Summer Heat," a three-month initiative across the country between June and September.
