LOS ANGELES — Jim Carrey could star in a live-action "The Jetsons" movie decades in the making, according to recent reports.
Variety , Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Carrey is "in talks" with Warner Bros. Pictures about the movie. Colin Trevorrow, who directed the "Jurassic World" movies, is also in talks to direct.
"The Jetsons" is a 1960s animated sitcom featuring the Jetson family living in a utopian future with cars that fly, three-day workweeks and other assistances to help their lives be comfortable, according to the show's summary.
The show starred the voices of George O'Hanlon as George Jetson, Janet Waldo as wife Jane, Penny Singleton as daughter Jane, Daws Butler as son Elroy and Don Messick as family dog Astro.
