AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The VA Augusta is reaching out to blind veterans in need of services through a White Cane Awareness Day event designed for veterans and their caregivers.

The initiative serves as both an outreach effort to connect visually impaired veterans with health services and a community awareness campaign to reduce stigma surrounding blindness and visual impairment.
