ST. CHARLES COUNTY — They were close-knit co-workers who worked at an O'Fallon chiropractic clinic for years.

But a chance encounter in the breakroom and a tear-filled admission in December 2020 made the women realize they had something else in common — they were all being harassed and sexually assaulted by the man they knew as "Dr. Jake."

Three of those women appeared in court Wednesday to tell Presiding Circuit Court Judge Chris McDonough about their experiences and to witness former O'Fallon chiropractor Jacob Linkous plead guilty to six felony harassment charges and a fourth-degree assault charge.

Linkous worked for Frontier Health in O'Fallon from 2018 to 2020. He later went to work as a chiropractor in Mississippi, where he has been licensed to work since April 2021. His license t
