Donald Floyd Cornett passed from this world on October 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, October 18, at Bangs Cemetery.

Donald was born April 10, 1936 in Coleman County, Texas to the parents Floyd Elmer Cornett and Mable Irene Griffin Cornett. He was the oldest of 11 children; he had 7 brothers and 3 sisters. He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brothers Vernon Lee, Wallace Woodrow, Larry Dale, Freddy Ray, Edwin Neal, and David Allen; also 2 of his sisters Neva Ann Cornett Brown, and Marilyn Kay Cornett McCutcheon. He is survived by one brother, Douglas Gene Cornett of Blanket, Texas and Laura Cornett Yager of Graham, Texas. Also, 10 nieces and 7 nephews, several great nieces and nephews.
