BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Jeff Kinney, author of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," is celebrating the 20th installation of the series with a book tour.

Kinney's "Partypooper Show," named after the upcoming book, is stopping in Birmingham on Oct. 25. The event, which is being hosted in collaboration with Books a Million, will be held at Samford University's Leslie S. Wright Fine Arts Center. The event will last from 6-7 p.m.

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Partypooper" officially releases on Oct. 21. The book can be preordered on Kinney's website.
