A group calling itself Budget Cuts and Broken Trust has reported spending more than $13,000 on political materials distributed in Loveland ahead of the city’s November election, according to campaign finance filings posted by the City Clerk’s office.

Mailers and door hangers bearing the committee’s name began appearing in Loveland neighborhoods in early October. The materials, featuring a cartoon “poop” image, criticize recent city spending and public safety decisions, as well as Mayor Jacki Marsh, who has served four terms since 2017, but is not running for a fifth term.

The materials also urge voters to oppose several candidates in the race that Marsh has supported in the past.
