NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The city's transportation officials are nearly done with work to make Lebanon Pike safer and more walkable.
Officials with the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure said they only need to put some finishing touches and last-minute patches on a massive project at the corner of Lebanon Pike and Cottage Lane near Briley Parkway. Once those are done, the project will be complete.
The project has completely transformed parts of Lebanon Pike, NDOT said.
The department has added 700 feet of sidewalk, which includes 12-foot-wide sidewalks along the north side of the road for pedestrians and bikers.
The project also added nearly 450 feet of piping and stormwater drainage along with a 65-foot WeGo bus pad.
