YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Bishop David Bonnar, other clergy and parishioers are on a pilgrimage to Rome.

They are visiting Italy to celebrate the 2025 Jubilee of Hope.

The group had a chance to walk through the holy doors at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, visit Vatican City, Assisi and other cities.

The group returns Thursday.

The 2025 Jubilee of Hope began on December 24, 2024, and concludes on January 6, 2026, on the feast of the Epiphany—Bishop Bonnar will say 10:30 am mass on Sunday, January 4 at Saint Columba Cathedral.
