Stephen Lee has emphatically ruled out a return to snooker, despite completing his 12-year ban from the sport.

At the time, this represented the longest ban in the history of the sport, until 2023 when Liang Wenbo and Li Hang hit with lifetime bans.

While Lee's ban expired in October 2024, he is yet to return to competitive action, and there are complications to this.

The Englishman cannot make a comeback right away, as the World Pool, Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), who govern all World Snooker Tour events , confirmed in August that Lee still owes them £125,000.
