According to MLB, an average audience of 10.02 million viewers in Canada and the U.S. tuned into the first two games of the best-of-seven series this past weekend, both of which where won by the visiting Seattle Mariners. Article content Article content

The combined total saw 4.71 million viewers catching the action on Sportsnet in Canada with 5.31 million watching on FOX in the U.S.

Those numbers would likely have been higher had Monday’s 10-3 loss to the Mariners been a more competitive game. The big numbers in Canada are a considerable jump from the first two games of the divisional round series against the New York Yankees. Sportsnet
