IRONDALE, Ala. —

An operation by Irondale Police has resulted in several arrests of people who allegedly targeted children online.

The Irondale Police Department said the operation was conducted over several days and focused on identifying and arresting suspects using online platforms to exploit or solicit children.

Irondale police worked with the Covenant Rescue Group and Trussville Police Department to use undercover "decoys" posing as minors.

The operation ended in seven people arrested and facing felony charges.
