BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — A fourth suspect connected to the killing of an 18-year-old Bluffton football player has pleaded guilty.

Shaynia Void was charged in connection to the 2021 shooting death of DJ Fields. Fields was shot and killed, and two other teens were injured, when suspects opened fire on the car they were driving along Bluffton Parkway on March 5, 2021.

She officially pleaded guilty to a second and third-degree count of assault and battery by mob.

Her brother, Jayden Void, faced the same charges. He was sentenced to 12 years behind bars in June. The rest of his sentence is suspended, and he received credit for time served.
