TEXARKANA, Texas - An East Texas organization that works with foster care children and their families is expanding its outreach with a new location in Texarkana.

4Kids4Families, a community-based care organization, took over foster care case management services from the state last year.

There are more than 1,200 kids in foster care across region four, which includes Bowie, Cass and 22 other counties in East Texas.

“We make sure the kiddos throughout their case have that stability of that caseworker that's going to help them throughout their journey as they get either reunified with their parent or adopted,” said Belen Casillas, 4Kids4Families community relations director.

The agency recently opened its new location on Christus Drive in Texarkana.
