Transit cops have arrested "one of Canada's most wanted fugitives" in the Lower Mainland Tuesday (Oct. 14).

Pierry Philogène was wanted on a warrant for first-degree murder for the alleged premeditated murder of Charles-Olivier Boucher Savard on Dec. 22, 2021. He was one of five suspects still wanted by the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) as part of the joint Alliance investigation.

A June 12 news release from the Montréal Police Service and Sûreté du Québec announced the arrest of 11 suspects in a major joint organized crime investigation called Alliance. Police said the investigation aimed to solve several murders homicides linked to organized crime that happened in Montréal and elsewhere in the province.
