MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Members of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department traveled to Madison on Tuesday as the entire department earned recognition for its excellence in 2025.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was honored by State Senator Jamie Wall (D-Green Bay) and State Representative Ryan Spaude (D-Ashwaubenon) with the First Responder of the Year award.
The award was granted to the department for its commitment to public safety, planning and the entire body of work, especially during the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.
The members who traveled to Madison had a big part in working together to ensure the NFL Draft's smooth operation and teamwork with other first responder groups.
