ASOTIN COUNTY, Wash. – Asotin County will ask its residents to vote on a sales tax measure in the upcoming November 4, 2025 ballot.

The tax would add a 1/10th of 1% increase, according to its description on a sample ballot released by the county .

In a Facebook post about the tax, Asotin County Emergency Management illustrated the 1/10th of 1% increase by comparing it to 10 cents out of every $100.

The money would be spent on updating and maintaining equipment like systems of radio, telephone and computer technology used to provide emergency communications between the public, 911 dispatchers and first responders.

Asotin County Emergency Management called the upgrades “essential.”
