TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Authorities responded to a shots-fired call at a Marana neighborhood park on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

The Marana Police Department said officers were called to the Gladden Farms Community Park, located near Tangerine and Gladden Farms, early in the morning.

The MPD said someone at the park reported hearing gunshots.

According to the MPD, the shots were coming from a nearby gun range. While not confirmed to be the source, the Marana Shooting Club is located less than half a mile south of the park.

The MPD said the incident was an accident and there were no reported injuries or danger to the public.

13 News has reached out to the MPD and the range for more information, but the investigation is ongoing.
