TOWN OF SCOTT, Wis. (WKOW) — A crash involving an Amish buggy and a box truck left three children hurt Wednesday, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported at 8:14 a.m. at the intersection of CTH SS and Vaughn Road.

Emergency personnel arrived shortly after the 911 call, which was made by the driver of the vehicle involved. The investigation revealed that the eastbound buggy did not yield the right-of-way, pulling in front of the northbound box truck on CTH SS, according to the sheriff's office.

The injured children were taken to UW Children’s Hospital and are expected to recover fully, the sheriff's office reported. The box truck driver is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues. The horse pulling the buggy was unharmed.
