KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Early voting is now underway in the city of Knoxville, with five of the nine City Council seats on the ballot — a majority that will shape local decisions for the next four years.

Registered voters in Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 can cast ballots through Oct. 30 at any of the city’s six polling locations. Also on the ballot, is a sales tax increase of half a percent.

The candidates in these races have been sharing their priorities in recent weeks, including on 10News’ Inside Tennessee program. They’ll help decide issues such as road repairs, the Chilhowee Park redevelopment plan, and affordable housing projects.
