Apple has assured China that the tech giant will increase investment and deepen cooperation in the country risking backlash from US President Donald Trump.
In a meeting with the Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng on Wednesday in Beijing, Apple CEO Tim Cook pledged to continue investing in the country.
Lecheng, on the other hand, pitched that China is committed to improve the business environment for foreign enterprises and attract foreign investors. Cook is in Beijing for the launch of iPhone Air, which will be available for pre-order in China after the ministry cleared the way for major telecom operators to support its eSIM functionality.
