Without sound, it was almost hard to tell what happened in the video taken at Frankstown and North Homewood avenues on March 30, 2022.

The somewhat pixelated footage captured by a city camera showed 15-year-old Dayvon Vickers ride across the intersection on his minibike at 6:06 p.m. It was unseasonably warm — the sun hadn’t set yet, and it was still in the high 60s.

The footage, played for jurors Wednesday afternoon, showed the teenager slow to let cars go past. As he paused, one of two men across the street appeared to raise his arm. Dayvon fell to the sidewalk, his minibike toppling with him. The man across the street, wearing black pants with what the prosecutor described again and again as a distinctive white pattern, took off.
