Meghan Markle has been hit with fresh criticism after recording what some have branded an "out of touch" and "very unroyal" video showcasing her lavish wardrobe, just hours before being crowned Humanitarian of the Year.

The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex uploaded a montage to Instagram on Tuesday, featuring highlights from her four-day trip to New York City with husband Prince Harry, 41.

Leaving their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, at home in California, the couple jetted to the East Coast for several engagements and celebrity meetings.

In the short clip, Meghan filmed her luxurious hotel suite filled to the brim with rows of designer shoes and racks of clothing, including a Chanel tweed outfit.
