GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A Mississippi teen’s fentanyl death is spreading awareness in a state campaign. Wednesday, WLOX News met with her family as they honored her memory in hopes of saving lives from this deadly drug.

Camden Elliott is one of the stories in the spotlight of the Mississippi Attorney General’s “One Pill Can Kill” campaign. As part of the series, her family relived their heartache in a video posted to the AG’s website.

“My entire family has been changed forever, because now our baby girl, at 17 years old, isn’t with us,” Camden’s mom, Cassidy Elliott, said in the video with tears in her eyes.

Bill Webb is Camden’s maternal grandfather. Since her death, he has dedicated his time to raising awareness.
