EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - People living in an Evansville west side neighborhood say they’re still dealing with sewer leak from a broken line, and they say city leaders are making them fix it.
Evansville City Engineering officials say the issue is a health hazard, and it needs to be cleared up quickly.
The homeowners agree, but again they believe it’s the city’s responsibility, not theirs.
“This has been ongoing for about four months, and the city has done nothing materially to fix this, other than try to scoop it back off onto us,” Christian Ritter, a homeowner said.
14 News told you in July about a west side neighborhood dealing with raw sewage in the street because of an old broken line.
Back then, neighbors received a letter from the city giving them a deadline to fix the leak.
