The survival of a Netflix series can be decided immediately after a new season debuts, or after months of worry from fans. Less than a month after its 2021 premiere, Netflix canceled Cowboy Bebop, showing the swiftness with which the streamer is ready to determine a production's future (or lack thereof). On the other hand, the streaming platform has shown confidence in its animated projects, which have grown in number over the past few years. One of their latest projects, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, for example, had already secured a second season, only a day after it premiered on the service.
