PEORIA, Ill. – Clouds in the skies and above average temperatures for this time of year.

Those were part of the final forecast for 25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins’ during Wednesday night’s 6:00 P.M. newscast.

Collins’ steps away from the green screen after a career of 50 years broadcasting that started in Sullivan, IL and ended in Peoria. The Marquette Heights native’s time in Peoria include stints at WMBD Radio and WMBD-TV, before moving to WEEK-TV in 2009.

A crowd watched Collins’ give the four minute forecast in the WEEK-TV studios, then followed that by thanking friends and colleagues.
