A Frederick County Public Schools special education instructional assistant has been charged with sexually abusing multiple students.

John McAleer, 22, was employed at Oakdale Middle School but was put on leave when the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office received a report alleging sexual abuse of a minor involving a FCPS employee, police said.

The sheriff’s office found multiple students who reported being sexually abused by McAleer at the middle school and obtained warrants to search his residence, vehicle and person, police said.
