Diane Keaton ‘s family is speaking out following her death.

On Saturday (October 11), it was announced that the legendary Oscar-winning actress had passed away at the age of 79.

Days later, Diane ‘s family broke their silence on her passing and revealed her cause of death.

In a statement with People , Diane ‘s family confirmed that the First Wives Club actress died from pneumonia.

“The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11,” the statement read.
