WASHINGTON – Senator Patty Murray is advocating for the continuation of Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) tax credits, which are set to expire at the end of the year.
Murray held a press conference alongside Montana leaders and residents who depend on these enhanced premium tax credits in Montana.
The timing of this push coincides with the start of open enrollment for ACA plans in Idaho, where many will soon need to decide if they can afford coverage without the subsidies.
Senator Murray emphasized the urgency of legislative action.
“This is a situation where Congress needs to act now with legislation to extend the tax credits,” Murray said.
