The state Department of Health is investigating a cluster of gastrointestinal illnesses among nine individuals at one school where recently recalled Meadow Gold chocolate milk had been served. Officials said it is not yet clear whether the recalled milk is the cause of illness, and none of the cases have required medical attention.

Residents are urged to contact the DOH Disease Reporting Line at (808) 586-4586 if they or their child experience symptoms after consuming the recalled milk. Those with severe or concerning symptoms should seek medical care immediately.
