La Center moved up two spots in the Class 1A rankings in the latest Associated Press high school football state rankings released Wednesday.

The poll is voted upon by a statewide panel of media members.

La Center (5-1), which returned to the 1A top 10 last week, moved up two spots to No. 8 after a 55-6 win over Fort Vancouver.

Seton Catholic (4-2) held firm at the No. 7 spot.

Those were the only two local teams to crack the top 10 at their classifications.
