The email recently received by a South Asian University (SAU) student two days before she was allegedly assaulted by four men on the campus, warning that a morphed nude photograph of her would be circulated, was sent from inside the campus, a Delhi Police officer said on Wednesday. According to the officer, the email could have been sent by someone who is part of the university — a staff, guard or a student.
An investigation is under way and the accused would be nabbed at the earliest, the officer added.
Officers have questioned over 100 people in connection with the case. They included 67 guards, 33 students and staffers.
