IOWA CITY — Iowa men’s basketball guard Tavion Banks was arrested on Saturday following an altercation at ReUnion Brewery in Iowa City.
The senior guard was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct, fighting/violent behavior.
Though the university initially released a statement on Monday, Hawkeye head coach Ben McCollum addressed the situation during the program’s media day on Wednesday. The first-year head coach explained how he will handle the arrest and the decision to suspend Banks or not.
