Tech giant Meta said it removed a Facebook group that shared information on immigration agents after a request from the Department of Justice.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a post on X that "following outreach" from the DOJ, Facebook removed a "large group page" that was being used to "dox and target" Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Chicago.

The Facebook group, ICE Sighting-Chicagoland, was removed on Tuesday.

Meta said in a statement that the group "was removed for violating our policies against coordinated harm."

ICE Sighting-Chicagoland had more than 80,000 members before the group was removed.

Last week, Apple and Google removed apps used to track immigration agents from its app stores.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
