WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita police have arrested a man in connection with the overdose death of a teen.
The arrest follows the Sept. 14 death of a 15-year-old. The teen was discovered just before 8 a.m. that morning, and an investigation determined the death to be the result of a drug overdose, officials said.
In a news release on Wednesday, police said that they had arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with the case.
The arrest happened about 5:40 p.m. and involved K-9 officers.
"The message should be clear," police said in the release. "If you’re involved in distribution of narcotics in our community, we will hold you accountable for placing people in Wichita in danger."
The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for charging consideration, p
