CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — One person was shot on Camelot Court in Chesapeake Wednesday evening, police said.

Around 7:50 p.m., Chesapeake Police said officers responded to the 1100 block of Camelot Court after a report of shots fired, with one possible victim at the scene.

When officers got there, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and he was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The shooting is under investigation, and Chesapeake Police said there is no threat to the public.
