URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) -- An experience, starting with a letter in the mail, can cause high levels of stress. In some cases, Champaign County judges said that jury duty can even be traumatizing.

The Champaign County Courthouse is now offering free therapy to jurors at the end of a trial.

"If a juror, after their service is over, feels stressed or anxiety because of their service, whether it was a trial or the deliberations, they can talk to a counselor for free," Champaign County's Presiding Judge, Randy Rosenbaum, said.

Jury duty doesn't come by choice and neither does it's impacts. Judge Rosenbaum said that they started this program because he saw, first-hand, the need for it.
