BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Five small towns in the Peace Garden State are receiving funding to repair or replace infrastructure that provides essential services.
More than $3 million is being allocated to the five cities through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The goal is to help local governments improve public facilities, housing, and other services that benefit low- to moderate- income residents and aim to improve quality of life.
The Department of Commerce program received more than $10 million in funding requests for fiscal year 2025, and the following towns were selected by a committee to receive funding: • City of Almont ($1,000,000): The money will go towards replacing several blocks of aging sanitary sewer, drinking water, and roadway infrastructure.
